A waiting room somewhere. Nobody 1 watches the TV. Nobody 2 looks up from their magazine, up to the TV, then turns to Nobody 1:
NOBODY 2

I didn’t know the crocodile hunter was back on TV
NOBODY 1
It is.
NOBODY 2
I thought he was dead though
NOBODY 1
He is, a ray killed him.
NOBODY 2
Then who’s that?
NOBODY 1
His son.
NOBODY 2
His son?
NOBODY 1
Yeah. His daughter’s in it too.
NOBODY 2
Ah. The whole “child of an iconic niche figure follows in their footsteps” kind of thing.
NOBODY 1
Is that a thing?
NOBODY 2
Oh for sure it’s a thing. Jacques Cousteau’s kids are divers, Evil Knievel’s kid does stunts, the Kennedy regime.
NOBODY 1
It’s kind of natural, isn’t it? Kids are socialized to become comfortable with whatever they’re exposed to from a young age.
NOBODY 2
Or, the kid has to. Like they’re eternally stuck under their parent’s shadow and have no choice but to become what they were seemingly destined to become.
NOBODY 1
I kind of feel bad for them.
NOBODY 2
I don’t.
NOBODY 1
They don’t get any choice. The croc hunter’s kid can’t start being bland and selling insurance.
NOBODY 2
He doesn’t have to.
NOBODY 1
But what if he wants to?
NOBODY 2
Tough luck. He’s got a brand to carry. He’s always gonna be the croc hunter’s kid and he better get the heck over it…clearly he already did.
