Brayden is in his office, at his desk. Tasha enters, hovering in the doorway.
BRAYDEN
Good morning.
TASHA
Yes, good morning. Can I close the door?
BRAYDEN
Sure. You wanted to see me?
TASHA
Um, yes I did.
I just wanted to say thank you for all the valuable skills and experience you’ve given me with this job. I know sometimes I haven’t been the best employee, and I appreciate how patient you’ve been and lenient with my schedule. Even when my head hasn’t completely been in the game, you’ve given me a chance to thrive. I want you to know I haven’t taken any of that for granted.
BRAYDEN

TASHA
...I’ve decided I’m going to quit. As of today.
BRAYDEN
I see.
TASHA
It has nothing to do with your leadership or my happiness here. It’s just not what I want to be doing the rest of my life, and I felt that I should give my position to someone who does.
BRAYDEN
Well, that’s very respectable. Thank you.

TASHA
Yes. It’s my calling. I believe it’s what I was born to do.
BRAYDEN

I did want to ask though...with payday being Friday, and today is Wednesday, is there any way I could get a check for the days I did work?
BRAYDEN
Why did you just wait until Friday to quit?
TASHA
I have a shoot in Vegas. I can’t really miss it.
BRAYDEN
You’re quitting, and now you’re asking to be paid. You don’t think that’s a little selfish?
TASHA
I know it is...but I could really use it.

BRAYDEN
