Guy’s office. Freddie sits, watching his manager as he finishes up on the phone. Eventually, Guy gets off:
FREDDIE
I’m gonna get it?
GUY
You’re in good shape.
FREDDIE
But no guarantee…?
GUY
There’s still paperwork. The minor details.
But yeah, you’re gonna get it.
FREDDIE
Cool.
What’s the uh...the compensation looking like?
GUY
The usual-ish. High six.
...
FREDDIE
Again?
GUY
For a 82 minute mid-budget, two month shoot.
FREDDIE
I know but
I don’t know.
This is my third straight high school romance.
GUY
Because you kill it.
FREDDIE
I sort of thought by now I’d be stepping up.
You know...superhero sidekick, stern yet loving older brother, fraternity president. The next tier.
GUY
Slow down, we’re not there yet. 24 and still passing for high school? You gotta milk this udder. It’s keeping you relevant.
FREDDIE
I just don’t want everyone thinking I can only do one thing.
GUY
.……….
You’re not saying you want to be a character actor do you?
FREDDIE
No.
No of course I don’t.
GUY
Ok good. I was worried for a minute.
But you shouldn’t be, is what I’m saying. No need to resist the box here, bud.
Breathe. You’re young, you’re hot, you’re booking. You’re right where you need to be.
FREDDIE
Yeah.

GUY

FREDDIE
I’m going out for brunch tomorrow.
GUY
CBS sitcom chick?
FREDDIE
No, the one who just shot the live action Power Puff Girls.
GUY

FREDDIE
