Starring: Architect
Architect sits at a circular breakfast table, with a blank sheet of paper. They hold a pencil, which they twirl incessantly.
They wait for inspiration to strike. It takes a while, then it does.
The pencil sketches. The tip abruptly breaks.
Architect stares at the pencil, and sighs.
They pull out a pen, twirling incessantly.
They wait for inspiration to strike. It takes a while, then it does.
The pen clicks, and it draws. It abruptly runs out of ink.
Architect stares at the pen, and sighs.
Architect stares at the paper again. They adjust its orientation sideways, longways, slantways.
They wait for inspiration to strike. It never comes.
Architect carefully folds the paper in half. Then in half again. And again, and again, until it’s a tiny paper square.
Architect swallows it.
