Starring: The Survivor
An island. One you’d get classically stranded on. Sandy beach, palms, etc. There’s also a big boulder that’s washed up onshore. Only on their second week, The Survivor sits in the sand, slurping from a coconut.
THE SURVIVOR
Hot damn, that’s good.

Huh.
I just talked out loud to myself.
I guess that means...I’ve officially gone mad.
…
Whoopee!
I’ve been waiting for this to kick in.
I can do whatever the hell I want! And I’ll always have something to blame it on!
What shall I do first?
Sing? Scream? Whoop?
Maybe I’ll do a jig in the sand!
Or climb the palm!
Or burn the raft for some firewood!
Isn’t that stuff you do when you’re off your rocker?
The Survivor notices the boulder.
Ooooo! What was I thinking?!
I’ll talk to this rock!
Talking to something inanimate is the surefire sign of madness.
The Survivor walks to the boulder.
Why hello there. Bet you’re surprised to hear me talking to you, huh?
The boulder is silent.
Don’t you have something to say to me?
The boulder is silent.
You know, it’s very rude not to speak when spoken to.
The boulder is silent.
Anybody home?
No?
Huh.
I guess I’m not as mad as I thought.
That’s unfortunate.
I was kind of looking forward to being nuts.

There’s a storm coming.
I guess I’ll start building my shelter.
That’s the logical thing to do.
They exit. Before leaving, they give the boulder a loving tap.
